In 1 it was as simple as building the right 'seed' factories and watching things fall into place. So anyways, any hints on raising my industrial rating? This is seriously vexing. It's like, seriously, we've got 5 of those factories, and they're ALL SHUT DOWN! AND YOU FUCKERS WONT LET ME KEEP THEM OPEN! And that presumes I have a government I can control them with. I try to encourage Capitalists and Workers, but the fuckers keep shutting down factories (Which only serves to lower my rating more!) and build worthless unprofitable ones at every turn. And I'm stuck around 200 no matter how many Industrial techs I've researched. I watch all my surrounding powers shoot up the industry rating like rockets. Nothing I can do gets my industry up to a productive level. In all these games there's a common factor. And now have a game as Austria, holding into Great Power by dint only of Prestige and Military. Had Japan on the cusp of Great Power, had Persia doing damned well and holding on as a Secondary power by the skin of its teeth.
